Grandma with the white hair

We had a great visit with "Grandma with the white hair" as Raleigh calls her : )  I'm just sad we forgot to get pictures with Grandpa before he took his nap!
 Grandma and Steve
Grandma and me and my new glasses, lol.
Grandma took this picture of us and she was so happy that she didn't cut our heads off, haha!
 Kissing that sweet Trent!
And waving goodbye!  I need to remember to take more pictures when we go out there, these were all taken in the last 5 minutes but I'm so glad I picked up my camera.  Raleigh wants us to go to the temple and see Grandma every day, and gosh I wish we could.  I try to remember that if I'm too busy to go to the temple, then I'm too busy period!  It's hard to clear out a weekend sometimes and just go, but we're trying. I'm so grateful for the temple and the peace I feel there, whether my life is feeling easy and full or not.  I've been running on empty lately and after our time at the temple I've been more energized and focused on what really matters.  It's so easy to get sidetracked and distracted by so many things in this world, and I feel too easily brought down by those things.  A recent Ensign article really helped me "Finding Harmony as we Struggle to Juggle" and also made me realize, this is a busy season of my life but it is no where near the busyness I will probably experience when my children are school age!  I'm so grateful for this part of my life, even if most days I feel like I'm walking through quick sand.  And a temple video, for your enjoyment!

Night After Night

I realize friends who read my blog don't come here for music recommendations, but I just have to post songs that I love or my head explodes!  Not really, but I love Jack and White!  I can't wait to get their new EP, Winter... available tomorrow!!  Anyway, February is almost here, yay!  So far plans for Feb include buying myself Gone With The Wind (the book, not the movie because I already have that)
Sigh, just look at them!

and seeing The Vow with Steve, he's going to love it! Not.  And then making lots of Pinterest stuff to eat and eat and eat and eat and probably share : )  Oh, except the wreath... you don't eat wreaths!  Love y'all!

Sunbeam Boy!!

Its offish... my boy is in the Primary, for realz yo!!
And this here is our resident nursery boy : )
Can I take pictures in the church?  I don't know!
I love the Primary people!!!!!!!  They are my heroes : )
 Raleigh showing off... haha!
Little brother lookin' jealous ; )
And that's how its done, y'all!

I have to say, my nerves about Primary were off the charts.  Will he like it?  Will they like him??  Will he throw up?  Will I throw up??  I didn't know!!  But, it was no big thing.  He was cool as a cucumber (at least from what I could tell, haven't heard otherwise!) and I surprisingly made it through too, lol.  I don't want these kids to grow up, dangit!  They are SO wonderful right now, in a ask-a-million-questions, make-a-thousand-messes, cry-a-hundred-cries kind of way.  Their wants are simple (a quarter for a gumball, etc.) and they get excited about everything, and I mean every little thing.  Nothing is "lame" yet and any silly activity is an adventure.  They could eat scrambled eggs, oranges, apples, pears, and quesadillas all day (oh wait, they do).

Oh and they are funny, so so funny!!  Tonight Steve was getting us ready to read scriptures and I was whispering to Raleigh to tell daddy "Jesus wept", its a legit scripture!  Well that spurred on the questions... "What did Jesus wept?  Who did Jesus wept?", lol, it was interesting to hear his interpretation of words.  I whispered again to him "My father dwelt in a tent" and he told me he had a secret too... "The wise man built his house upon a tent."  He is such a goose!

And they are sweeter than sweet.  Steve asked Raleigh to say the prayer tonight, and so we all folded our arms (Trenty too!) and then Raleigh proceeded to help Trenty say the prayer : )  Mind you, nothing Trenty says is understandable.  But it was quite possibly the most adorable thing ever, seeing my younger son take direction and watch the example of his older brother.  Warms my heart like nothing else to see my boys interact in positive ways and become friends, hopefully for life and beyond.  Anyway those are my thoughts for today (and a little catch-up in pictures).  Love y'all!!
