We had a fabulous, supa fun time at girls camp this year!!  I have years and years of memories piled up from being in young women's myself, and I love that I got to add to it this year.  A couple of things that come to mind, wearing a bright yellow poncho day 1, switching it up to a ninja outfit later, getting a Katniss braid and having the girls call me Sister Everdeen (from the Panem ward), thinking up ridiculous ways to make girls camp into hunger games camp (fight to the death for first ward in the meal lines... which was actually pretty close to real life, haha), taking a 5 mile hike 4 miles one way and then getting lost for probably another 4 miles, being the worst canoe-er EVER! but luckily being saved by Sis. Robinson, telling the girls to "Represent!" the Crowfield ward wherever they go, trying not to get a sunburn on my head (crack... part between braids, lol), listening to Adele and "throwing up into the flames", embarrassing our girls by singing Wicked songs at crafts, giving the girls "I Got My Shiny On" shirts from Sister Dalton's yw general meeting talk (and the many times we used that phrase throughout camp), Sister Warren's awesome devotional and laughing at the girls exaggerating how she made them trip over the trees, seeing our girls serve others and not just hearing their testimonies on testimony night but also seeing them as living examples of the gospel, bishop's night family feud, destiny nights, dancing with the stars night, and on and on!

I think what I learned this year at girls camp is that these girls aren't just teenagers, they really are Young Women and the Crowfield ward girls are so incredible and smart and strong in the gospel.  I am in awe of them, truly.  I keep saying it, but I really am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to spend that amazing week with them and with the leaders from my ward, who are really great friends anyway (double bonus!).  I hope I get to go many years throughout my life, there really is no place like girls camp!

That is so fun Katie! I've only been to girls camp once and I'm starting to see that I really missed out. I'm sure those girls loved you just as much as you loved them. Super cool!
